Her

she stood there, frozen
how could she quickly transition
without being scolded
respected, and treated
that her opinions 
held value
she was no longer protected
by the blanket that shielded
their eyes of her decadence
she persuaded 
even herself to believe
she was nothing
for that period
undetermined
and once the curtain
 revealed the truth
they could not un-see 
her strength gave them vision
and they marched into battle
alongside her
