finally speak

more afraid than we've been in a long time
not sure how to handle it 
we're losing our minds
can't get a grip 
on the reality
that this is truly
happening
making me cringe
at every new news article
fact checking, no trust 
the evil clowns at this carnival.
reality television
made me sick
now the whole world laughs
as we're living it
Worried forever about taxes,
we're already struggling to live,
millenials are buying dogs
cus we're afraid to have kids.
I never want to bring a human into this
cold dead place
where the people that you trusted
will throw dirt in your face
no one wants to help you live
but god forbid you want to die
then they will lock you up to "help you"
and your bills will go sky high
no one is trying to assist you
at their expense
and  if you die you can't pay taxes
that doesn't make financial sense.
I hate to get so critical
and upset about this
I've held it in for long enough
these problems exist!
I think about them all the time
but always hold my tongue
I don't want to sound uneducated
don't want you to think I'm dumb.
We might have things in common,
maybe you also see,
it's time for this conversation,
